Causes of Acne:
- Stress
- Premenstrual hormonal changes
- Exposure to chemicals
- Exposure to sunlight for too long
- Some kind of bacterial infection
Remedies recommended:
- Follow a Pitta pacifying diet.
- Take ¼ tsp of a mixture made of kutki, guduchi, shatavari in 1:1:1 thrice a day after meals with warm water. This helps by balancing Pitta.
- Steep ⅓ tsp of cumin, ⅓ tsp of coriander and ⅓ tsp of fennel in hot water for 10 minutes. Strain and drink this thrice a day.
- Drink ½ cup of aloe vera juice twice a day.
- Take ½ to 1 tsp amalaki powder with warm water daily before bed to help keep your colon clean.
- First wash your face with the chickpea flour paste made with water. Then apply almond powder paste made by mixing the almond powder in water. Apply it on your skin and rinse after 30 minutes.
- First wash your face with the chickpea flour paste made with water. Then apply a paste made of ¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp sandalwood powder and sufficient amount of goat's milk. Note that it is very effective but might result in your face looking a little yellow.
- Rub some melon on your skin at bedtime and leave it overnight. This also works because of its cooling properties.
- Do any activities like visualisation, meditation etc. that can help you relieve your stress.
- Rub your hands and gently pace them on your face or eyes. This will help relax your face.
