Causes of Baldness:
People with high Pitta in their body are more prone to baldness.
- Hereditary causes
- Deficiency of calcium, magnesium, zinc
- Excess Pitta in the body
- Stiffness in neck muscles
- Fungal infection on scalp
- Hormonal imbalance
- Disease-related hair loss
Recommendations:
- Drink ⅓ cup of aloe vera juice or take 1 tsp aloe vera gel with a pinch of cumin thrice a day for 3 months.
- Include dairy products in your diet if you are able to digest them well.
- Add white radish, daikon (Japanese radish), coconut, cooked apples, cabbage as well.
- Eat handful of white sesame seeds every morning.
- Before bed, drink tea made of boiling ½ tsp of dashmoola, bhringraj and jatamamsi powder in 5:4:3 ratio in goat's milk.
- Mineral supplements, that is calcium 1200 mg, magnesium 600 mg and zinc 60 mg before bed.
- Take a tea made by steeping ½ tsp jatamamsi and ½ tsp of brahmi in 1 cup of hot water. Take this tea twice or thrice a day.
The most common solution recommended for prevention from baldness is massage.
Massage related recommendations:
- Rub coconut oil on your scalp and soles of your feet before bed.
- Massage the scalp with brahmi or bhringraj oil at bedtime.
- Massaging with Vitamin E oil is also helpful in preventing or slowing hair loss.
- Massage your neck to get rid of stress and stiffness in the neck. Neck exercises should also be done.
