Causes of Boils:
- Chronic constipation
- High Pitta in the blood
- Toxicity in the liver
- Possible sign of diabetes (especially if boils are happening repeatedly)
Solutions recommended:
Application options for the affected area:
- Paste of neem powder made by mixing the powder with little warm water.
- Neem oil
- Wash with cool triphla tea made by boiling 1 tsp of triphla in 1 cup of water and letting it cool.
- Paste made by ½ tsp of sandalwood and ½ tsp of turmeric powder in warm water.
In case, the cause is possible diabetes or the case of family history of diabetes along with you getting repeated boils:
- Take ½ tsp of neem, turmeric and kutki in 2:2:1 ratio twice or thrice a day with warm water till the boils disappear.
In case the cause is chronic constipation:
- Practice basti
- Take ½ tsp of amalki or triphla at night with warm water. You can continue taking this in long term as a health tonic.
- You can also take triphla tea made by steeping ½ tsp of triphla powder in a cup of boiling hot water for 5-10 minutes.
In case the cause is liver problems:
Possible indication of this can be that the boil is inflamed, raised and red.
- Take 2 tsp of aloe vera gel 3 times a day.
- Take ½ tsp of shanka pushpi, kutki, gulwel sattva in 24:16:1 ratio thrice a day with warm water.
