Vata-type diarrhea

Vata-type of diarrhea refers to the type of diarrhea where the underlying cause is increase of Vata in the body.

Vata increase is the primary cause of constipation which is an opposite condition to that of diarrhea. But still, diarrhea can be caused by Vata as well.

Vata-type diarrhea occurs after 5-7 days of constipation caused by Vata aggravation.

Both Vata-type of diarrhea and constipation can also be referred to as Vata aggravated signs and issues seen in stool. 

Symptoms of Vata-type of diarrhea are:

• Happens after a few days of constipation
• The poop is dry and comes out with a lot of air and pressure
• It can be compared to that of goat's poop - hard, small, dry

Recommendations to treat Vata-type of diarrhea are:

• Vata reducing diet and lifestyle
• Panchkarma to treat Vata imbalance (that is Enema) should be done as soon as practical. The Panchkarma should be done only after proper preparatory procedures for the same.
• Monthly mild Purgation is also recommended for especially for people who frequently suffer from Vata-type of diarrhea
