Kapha-type of diarrhea refers to the type of diarrhea where the underlying cause is increase of Kapha in the body.
In the initial part of our life, that is in our childhood, Kapha-type of diarrhea is the most likely type of diarrhea can occur.
Another way of referring to Kapha-type of diarrhea can be Kapha aggravated signs and issues seen in stool.
Symptoms of Kapha-type of diarrhea are:
- Soft and slimy stool
- White coated stool
- Undigested food waste seen in stool
Recommendations to treat Kapha-type of diarrhea are:
- Kapha reducing diet and lifestyle
- Panchkarma to treat Kapha imbalance (that is Emesis) should be done as soon as practical. The Panchkarma should be done only after proper preparatory procedures for the same.
Without the understanding of the basics of Ayurveda, it might feel counter-intuitive to recommend Emesis to someone suffering from diarrhea. But these factors need to be understood for the same:
- Firstly, the emesis is not supposed to be done while someone is suffering from diarrhea. Doing so can be extremely dangerous.
- Secondly, the treatments to be done immediately includes taking some herbs or home remedies to stop the diarrhea or at least to help with restoring the hydration of the body.
- Thirdly, treating the root cause of the problem, that is balancing the aggravated Kapha is the only way for a long-term relief from the problem. To balance the aggravated Kapha - lifestyle changes along with emesis therapy is probably the best possible way.
- Lastly, proper preparatory procedures are done before inducing emesis. These procedures ensure that emesis when done is totally safe and beneficial.
