Medovaha srota

Medovaha srota refers to the channels responsible for carrying Meda Dhatu. In modern medicine, mamsavaha srota along with medovaha srota can be loosely translated to the muscular system.

Functions: Carries ingredients of adipose tissues

Controlling Organs: 

• Kidney
• Adipose or fat tissue in the abdomen

Causes of vitiation:

• Sleeping during the daytime
• Lack of exercise
• Excessive alcohol consumption
• Food and lifestyle mistakes, such as consuming foods which lead to vitiation of doshas
• One of the most common food and lifestyle mistake linked with issues in medovaha srota is consumption of fatty, heavy foods and eating many meals in a day.
• Eating either too much or too less food
