Cinnamon can be used in case of headache, diarrhea and joint pains.
How to use cinnamon:
When you experience a headache, there are different remedies that you can try depending on the cause of the headache.
If you are experiencing nerve pain or a headache, apply cinnamon oil to your forehead for relief.
To control eye twitching and improve eyesight, you can apply cinnamon oil to your eyelids.
For nasal issues, boil 3 ½ g of cinnamon, 600 mg of cloves, and 2 g of dry ginger in 1 liter of water, then reduce it to 250 ml, strain it, and drink 50 ml of the mixture three times a day.
In case of deafness, put 2 drops of cinnamon oil in each ear.
If you are experiencing toothache, put some cinnamon oil on a cotton ball and place it on the affected area.
To clean and brighten your gums, you can crush 5-6 cinnamon leaves and use it as a toothpaste.
For coughs, mix ½ tsp of cinnamon powder with 2 tsp of honey and take it twice a day, or mix ¼ tsp of cinnamon powder with 1 tsp of honey and take it three times a day.
Cinnamon is especially useful in cleansing the throat.1
To relieve hiccups, drink 10-20 ml of cinnamon water.
In case you are suffering from tuberculosis, taking a small amount of cinnamon oil can be helpful.
If you are experiencing issues related to your abdomen such as chronic diarrhea or flatulence, you can take 5 gm of cinnamon powder and add 1 tsp of honey. Consume this mixture three times a day for relief.
Another remedy for diarrhea is to take 750 gm of cinnamon powder and add 750g of betel palm powder. Consume this mixture three times a day.
In case of diarrhea, you can also take 4 gm of cinnamon powder and 10 gm of betel palm powder, add 250ml of boiling hot water and cover the utensil for 2 hours. Drink the concoction after sieving.
Taking 2-5 gm of cinnamon powder mixed with belgiri sharbat twice a day can provide relief in diarrhea.
To increase digestive fire and relieve constipation, prepare a mixture of 500g of dry ginger powder, 500g of cardamom, and 500g of cinnamon powder. Take this mixture twice a day before food.
For relief in tension in the intestines, massage cinnamon oil on your stomach.
Lastly, to relieve spasms in the stomach, make a mixture of cinnamon, cardamom, and bay leaf in equal quantities.
If you experience stomach ache and vomiting, try consuming 5-10 ml of cinnamon oil with 10 gm of rock sugar.
For painful joints, you can apply a paste made of 10-20 gm of cinnamon powder and 20-30 gm of honey on the affected area. Additionally, drink a mixture of 1 tsp of honey, 2 gm of cinnamon powder, and 1 cup of lukewarm water three times a day.
For relief from joint pain, you can also apply oil made of cinnamon leaves on the painful area.
If you have skin-related disorders like itching or pimples or achne, apply a mixture of honey and cinnamon paste to the affected area.
For internal bleeding, take 10-20 ml of cinnamon water three times a day to alleviate the discomfort.
To control cholesterol levels, mix 3 tsp of cinnamon powder with 2 tsp of honey and 1 cup of water, and drink it three times a day.
If you have a fever caused by a cold or infection, try taking 1 tsp of honey with 5 gm of cinnamon powder for relief.
Lastly, cinnamon is used to help with various delivery-related issues. You can take a powdered mix of black pepper, pippali, dry ginger powder, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf, and arkara with honey. The recommended dose is 1-2 gm.
Important note:
Pregnant women should avoid consuming cinnamon. Additionally, individuals with high body heat may experience headaches if they consume cinnamon excessively.
