How to use:

 

To treat indigestion, eat baheda with betel nut and leaf. 1

 

Apply baheda pulp after mixing it with honey in cases of inflammation of the eye. 1

 

Dried fruit pulp is also used as a laxative. 1

 

Oil made from the pulp of the baheda seed can provide nutrition to your hair. 

 

To improve your eyesight, try consuming a mix of baheda and raw sugar in equal parts. 

 

In case of eye pain, apply a mixture of powdered bark of baheda and honey. 

 

If you are experiencing hypersalivation (formation of excessive saliva), try chewing on 1 ½ gm of baheda and 1 ½ gm of raw sugar for a few days. 

 

For cough, you can try sucking on a peel of baheda for relief or take a mix of baheda, adusa (Malabar nut), black salt cooked in goat milk. 

 

If you have cough and breathlessness, consume 4 gm of powdered baheda bark and harad in equal quantity. 

 

For excessive breathlessness or hiccups, try consuming baheda fruit powder mixed with honey. 

 

In case of dry cough or breathlessness, take 10 gm of baheda powder in the morning and evening after food. 

 

To improve your digestive power, take 3-6 gm of baheda powder after food.

 

If you are experiencing diarrhoea, take 2-5 gm of baheda bark and 1-2 pieces of cloves. Grind them into a fine powder and mix with 1 tsp of honey. Take this mixture 3-4 times a day. 

 

In case of chronic diarrhoea, take 2-3 dry roasted baheda. 

 

If you are suffering from impotency or lack of arousal, you can take 3 gm of baheda powder and 6 gm of jaggery in the morning and evening. 

 

In case of itching or burning sensation on your skin, you can apply oil made from the pulp of the seed of baheda. 

 

To treat fever, you can try the following remedies: 

  • Take 40-60 ml of a concoction made from baheda and flax seeds after adding 1 tsp of ghee in it. Take this thrice a day. It gives relief in case of fever of pitta or kapha origin. 
  • Take 40-60 ml of baheda kwath in the morning and evening for relief in fever of pitta origin. 

 

If you are experiencing inflammation, dermatitis or pain, applying a layer of baheda seed powder can give relief.

 

Baheda for pros:

 

Take one fruit of Baheda and dip it in ghee (clarified butter). Then roll it in grass and encapsulate it in cow dung. Cook it in fire and after that, de-seed the fruit. Suck on this fruit to get relief from cough, breathlessness, cold, congestion, and other similar conditions.
