Black Gram

Features of Black Gram:

• It is strengthening and acts as an aphrodisiac. 
• It is a potent laxative and is nutritive.
• It can be consumed regularly only by healthy and laborious people.

Varieties of Black Gram:

• Aranyamasa (a wild variety) - Dry, Astringent, doesn't cause burning sensation.

According to Vagbhata, Black gram is the most inferior amongst all the pulses.
